Multifunction Epson Stylus SX510W review
Feature: The In-One Epson Stylus SX510W turned out to be the test as a fast worker. The ten-page letter after 40 seconds already done - remarkably fast for text printing. For color printing SX510W had the thrill of speed of the Epson Stylus although somewhat. The results could nevertheless be seen as a whole, - for example regular 1:15 minutes for the borderless photo in 10 x 15 cm. Also in the copy and scan it filled the Epson model expectations: A preview scan takes only 9 seconds. Even 17 seconds for an A4-size color scanning is a good result.
Quality: The high pace of work of the Epson Stylus SX510W but called its toll on print quality: especially in the fine drawing of lines, we identified deficiencies. At the same time the grid remained relatively strong visible in photographs. The colors in the photo printing were also too cold for a bit. This was especially noticeable in skin tones.
Features: This combo can be, thanks to the Ethernet and wireless network interface flexibly integrate into. For local operation brings Epson Stylus SX510W a USB port with this. At the same time, the device offers PictBridge port and card slots, the common connections for stand-alone operation. The preview screen is foldable and the test showed a sharp image.
Handling: The edition of the Epson Stylus Scan SX510W is slightly tilted towards the user. This simplified the hook, but thin items slip easily. The panel was well structured. Plus point: scans can be processed versatile - the choice is simple scan of the PC, but also the direct digitizing as PDF or e-mail attachment.
Alternatives: If the interfaces are less relevant than high quality printing, scanning and copying, one printer is the Canon Pixma MP630 into question.
